Invention

This is a wine label I created for a friend's 30th, er, (second) 29th birthday. It's my Illustration Friday entry for "Invention." Click on the image to read the fine print. Wine that keeps you forever young? Now that's an invention worth investing in...(yes, it's a bit of a stretch for "Invention", but it's all I've got right now!) I had a different design up earlier where I hadn't done the drawing - the one I have up now is all me. Thought it was a little silly to submit something to Illustration Friday where I didn't do the illustration!!!

Quickie

I just got back from seeing (more hearing) Chanticleer in concert at Fourth Presbyterian downtown. I used to sing with one of these guys when I was in elementary school in a local children's chorus. He looks about the same as he did at 12, just a bit stretched out and with an even more incredible voice. Check them out at www.chanticleer.org.

Airport Sketch

This is a test of the Parental Scanning Machinery. This is only a test (well, and a sketch I did during my 4 hour wait at O'Hare. This is some poor guy who couldn't find an open seat, so made a seat out of his suitcase.)

Thanksgiving Part One

So... after waiting for the virus scanner to finish scanning, I'm finally posting here (with 3 minutes to spare.) Here's a first shot at the Illustration Friday "Thankgiving" topic. Is it a sausage? Does my family forgo turkey for liverwurst on Thanksgiving? Promise to have it finished by Turkey Day. Stay tuned.

Clear (or not?)

This is a drawing that I did for last week's Illustration Friday. The subject was "Clear" and for some reason I thought of a bald guy. I have no idea what made me think of this...

And I accidently posted my "Clear" illustration on the Illustration Friday site under "Thanksgiving." Apparently, I need to get myself to bed!

J-E-L-L-zzz

I am so tired. Not the same tired that Lily von Schtupp sang about, but the kind of tired that feels like walking through Jello. Although, this Jello seems to be full of sliced bananas and grapes because I keep running into things...
